It’s one of the happiest times of the year — the release of the Starbucks Fall menu and, thus, my Starbucks fall menu review. Some would say that fall is the best season of all, and it’s tough to argue that statement when fall represents the comeback of the pumpkin spice latte. I’ve always been a fan of the beloved PSL and you can no doubt catch me in the Starbucks drive-thru on release day.
I’ve reviewed Starbucks fall drinks in the past, and even compared them to Tim Hortons’ fall drinks, but Starbucks has some new additions this year. I decided to bring back my Starbucks fall menu review and revamp it with a review of the brand new drink: the apple crisp macchiato. Keep reading to see my Starbucks fall menu review!
Apple Crisp Macchiato
Before you even taste the apple crisp macchiato, you will smell it. It’s hard to miss the strong scent of fresh apple wafting from the drink. At first, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The apple flavour is subtle, but it’s there. The drink is light, a bit sweet, and fresh. These might sound like weird adjectives, but you’ll understand once you taste the drink.
It’s a good transition drink from summer to fall. The flavour reminds me of warm, sunny fall days where all you need is a light coat to protect you from the slight chill in the air. It’s a very refreshing drink and perfect for a fall afternoon.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
Ah, the PSL. Everyone’s favourite fall drink. You really can’t go wrong with the PSL. Every essence of it tastes like the leaves changing and the crisp, fall air. It’s flavourful and has a little bit of spice to make the taste interesting. The PSL is made with pumpkin spice syrup, espresso, and steamed milk of your choice, so the emphasis is on the pumpkin spice flavour. The fall vibes are immaculate and the pumpkin spice is strong.
Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
The first sip of the pumpkin cream cold brew tastes like pumpkin pie, and it smells like it too. The drink is more subtle than the pumpkin spice latte in that it is smoother, creamier, and tastes more like coffee. The drink is made with pumpkin cream cold foam, which tops off cold brew flavoured with vanilla syrup.
The pumpkin flavour comes only from the pumpkin cream cold brew foam which makes the pumpkin spice taste more subtle than the PSL. I prefer the cold brew over the PSL because I prefer iced drinks (and the cold foam is incredible), but they’re both top tier fall drinks.
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin
You really can’t go wrong with a muffin, especially one that is filled with cream cheese. The muffin itself is super moist and fresh, and is covered generously with pumpkin seeds. Ask for it warmed up and it will melt in your mouth. The cream cheese filling is so soft and creamy, and compliments the pumpkin perfectly. This snack is the perfect addition to your pumpkin spice latte.
Fox Sugar Cookie
Starbucks’ sugar cookies are classic seasonal treats. The fox sugar cookie makes a comeback every year and for good reason — it’s delicious. There’s absolute magic in these sugar cookies. They are always soft and chewy. It washes down perfectly with a PSL.
Pumpkin Loaf
I love Starbucks’ loaves and the pumpkin loaf is a seasonal classic. It tastes super subtle, and as I’m writing this review I’m trying to remember exactly how to describe it because I ate it so fast I didn’t get to enjoy it. It’s just that delicious. Take my word for it and try it next time you’re feeling a bit peckish at Starbucks.

The Apple Crisp Macchiato has become my new go-to since PSL isn’t vegan! I get it with oat milk. It is a little too sweet for me, so I need to ask for it with less of the syrup next time. Great post! 🙂
