Located just off Stony Plain Road is Café Neo, situated behind its sister company, Neo Juicery. It’s a cafe that you are either on the hunt for or stumble upon. I did the latter. I was in the Revolution Square area searching for a mural when I saw Café Neo on the corner, practically begging me to walk in and buy a coffee. A sign above the door reads, “A true coffeehouse experience.” Intrigued, I walked in.
The interior is decorated in jewel tones with black and gold accents. The space isn’t dark though, and is lightened by earthy-toned wood floors. The cafe feels luxurious, with large teal velvet couches providing ample space for lounging while you sip on rich, freshly brewed coffee.
There’s also a small outdoor patio that stretches along the side of the cafe. There’s not much to see, other than the fake grass and wooden bistro-style tables, but it’s an enjoyable place to sit on a sunny day.
I ordered my go-to drink of a choice — an iced vanilla latte. It’s a pretty standard drink and tates good everywhere I go, but it was exceptionally good at Café Neo. I don’t know what kind of magic was put into the drink, but I was blown away. I didn’t get any food, but there was a variety of pastries and breakfast treats.
The area is in a revitalization stage, and it shows. Go for a drive, grab a coffee, and stay awhile.
Café Neo is located at 10051 152 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5P 1V9
