Honest Review of the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner

If you’re a blonde then you’re probably pretty familiar with purple shampoo. It’s a saving grace for when the blonde turns brassy. There are a lot of purple shampoos out there, but not all of them do the job. I tried the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner, and here are my thoughts!

Dryer Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner

The Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner are a duo that fights brassy hair. Each product retails for $38 CAD and increases shine while preventing fading. The formula is made with deep purple pigments that cancel out warmth in blonde, gray and white hair without stripping the hair of its colour or moisture.

Some key ingredients in the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner are:

Lemon extract, which brightens highlights and preserves the integrity of the hair colour

Chamomile extract, which gently boosts tones and increases shine,

Keratin, a moisturizing protein that reinforce the structure of the hair and prevents damage

Does it Work?

I’ve been using the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner for a few months now, and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. I’m a natural blonde, but my hair colour has gotten darker lately, which is why I wanted to try out a new purple shampoo and conditioner.

The Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner noticeably makes my hair lighter after I use it. I wash my hair about three times a week, and use the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner twice a week. The products make my hair extremely hydrated, soft and shiny. I’ve also noticed my hair is more voluminous since using the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner.

There is also a Drybar Blonde Ale Color-Enhancing Brightening Hair Mask that I plan to purchase soon because I want to see how that will further lighten my hair.

I highly recommend trying the Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo and Conditioner if you’re a natural blonde. I’ve read some reviews saying it’s not great when it comes to colour-treated hair in terms of removing brassy tones, so be aware of that if you have colour-treated hair.
