I have a new favourite cafe in Edmonton and it’s La Bosco, located just off Whyte Avenue. I love the Whyte Avenue area, but most of the cafes in the area close early, which can be a downer when you’re trying to make evening plans. My mom and I wanted a quick snack and coffee before seeing Hamilton at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, so I suggested La Bosco. Neither of us had been there before, but the cafe is gorgeous in the photos I’ve seen.
We pulled up and I was shocked at how large the space was. The building is huge with an earthy industrial vibe and ample seating areas perfect for studying or catching up with friends. What’s even better is the display case full of freshly made cakes, desserts and pastries. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and chocolate cake, while my mom ordered a black coffee and a strawberry roll. Both were soft, creamy and delicious.
I love La Bosco so much that I went back there last week with a friend for coffee and catching up, and it was the perfect space for sitting for a few hours. It’s quiet in the evenings and the space allows for everyone to spread out. Another aspect that I love is there is a small parking lot, which can be rare in the Whyte Avenue area.
I highly recommend heading to La Bosco if you find yourself in the area. La Bosco is located at 10413 79 Ave. NW.
