I don’t typically use a lot of hair products on a daily basis. Actually, I don’t use any hair products (other than dry shampoo), so it’s always exciting when I try something new!
I noticed my hair was getting pretty tangled after showering, so I ordered a sample size of the OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner. This was the first OUAI product I’ve tried and I’ve since fallen in love with the brand. Keep reading to find out why!

The OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner retails for $39 CAD and is a leave-in conditioner that detangles hair, reduces frizz and flyaways. It can also be used as a heat protectant up to 450°F/232°C. It’s compatible with all hair types and textures, but is particularly useful if you have dry hair.
One of my favourite things about the OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner, and all other OUAI products, is the smell. It smells SO good and clean, and the smell kind of reminds me of a detangling spray I used to use as a kid. If you don’t like fragrant products then this might not be for you as it is pretty strong, but it does leave your hair smelling incredible.
I use the OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner after I shower, and I spray it in before I do my skincare routine so that it settles into the hair before I brush it out. After using the spray, my hair is noticeably easier to brush and feels soft and smooth. However, after using the spray for the first time, I noticed that my hair was more oilier on the second day than it usually is. I wasn’t too surprised, as that often happens to my hair when I use any product.
After my next hair wash, I used a smaller amount of product and only on the areas of my hair that needed it the most. This reduced the oiliness.
Overall, I’m really happy with the OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner. It detangles my hair, and leaves it feeling soft, silky and smelling good! I haven’t committed to a full size bottle yet, but I have received multiple samples of it from Sephora so that I have back-ups.
It is a bit pricey, however, one bottle will last you a long time. My mini bottle, which retails for $21 CAD, has lasted me a few months and I haven’t even used half the bottle! For the quality of the product, you can’t go wrong.
