There’s no better time for a comeback than the start of a new year. It’s been nine months since my last blog post, but I decided that I’m so back and what better way to kick things off than by sharing my 2025 favourites? From trying to figure out a hair care routine and trying new makeup products to consuming a lot of fun media, 2025 was a great year to say the least.
The Best of Beauty

Kevin Murphy Blow Dry Wash and Rinse – I’ve recently discovered that I LOVE how my hair looks and feels after blow drying it, and the Kevin Murphy Blow Dry Wash and Rinse duo is essential to my routine. I receive so many compliments on how shiny and healthy my hair looks, and my hair feels hydrated and soft.
Bath and Body Works Whipped Honey and Vanilla & PHLUR Cashmere Skin – If you’re looking for the ultimate cozy scent, this is it. During the fall, I bought the Whipped Honey and Vanilla lotion from Bath and Body Works and it’s become my new go-to scent. This lotion paired with the PHLUR Cashmere Skin (Almond, Vanilla, Ambrette) fragrance mist was my go-to for fall 2025.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Face Sunscreen – Wearing SPF daily is so important and I wanted to prioritize this habit in 2025. I’d heard a lot of great reviews for the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Face Sunscreen so I decided to buy it during one of my frenzied shopping sprees at Shoppers Drug Mart. The texture is liquidy and smooth, and soaks into the skin with no piling. It also gives your skin a nice glow, and comes in tinted and non-tinted.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip Liner & NYX Butter Gloss – This was my go-to lip combo for 2025! The Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip Liner lasts all day long and glides on so smoothly. I am a fan of most NYX lip products, but the Butter Gloss is my favourite. It’s non-sticky, pigmented and comes in gorgeous colours.
L’Oréal Infallible Setting Spray – Once you try this setting spray, you’ll never go back to another high end setting spray ever again. L’Oréal Infallible Setting Spray is the drugstore dupe of One/Size by Patrick Starr and, in my opinion, might even be better. My makeup lasts all day long and needs little to no touch ups if I’m going out in the evening. And it’s budget friendly! The only con is that it smells and feels like hairspray, so proceed with caution.
NYX Epic Ink Liner – It’s been a while since I’ve done winged eyeliner, but I felt compelled to buy the NYX Epic Ink Liner during a recent Shoppers Drug Store trip and I’ve been loving it. It glides on so smooth, dries quickly and has a super fine tip allowing you to be precise.
All Things Books, Shows, and Music
2025 wasn’t my biggest year for consuming new media, but I really enjoyed the media I did consume. Here are my 2025 stand-outs in music, podcasts, TV and books.

Even though 2025 was the year of the showgirl, I couldn’t stop listening to The Tortured Poets Department. This album was especially relatable in the later part of 2025 and definitely made its mark on my Spotify Wrapped. The album of the summer was Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend, especially House Tour. Megan Moroney’s Am I Okay? is a notable mention, however, 6 Months Later was on repeat when it came out and is still one of my go-to feel good songs.

Most Listened to Podcast – The Wellness Cafe with Trinity Tondeleir
Most Binged Show – The Summer I Turned Pretty

My reading goal for 2025 was 15 books and I read exactly that amount. I was in and out of reading slumps throughout the year, and these are the honourable mentions that always got me excited to start reading again.
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
Tower of Dawn & Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
