June Cafe Highlight – Paramo Cafe

Hidden on the north side of Edmonton is a tiny gem for coffee and food lovers alike called Paramo Café.

Located in the bustling and idyllic neighbourhood of Griesbach, Paramo Café is a quaint and unique café with a large and varying menu of coffee, food, and desserts. There is something for everyone at Paramo Café!

Paramo is one of my favourite cafes because not only is it conveniently located, but it also has a great atmosphere for studying or catching up with friends. One of my favourite features is the giant steps that have tables and floor to ceiling shelves. Sitting on the top level is the perfect place for people watching.

I took my best friend with me to review their drinks and food as we both have different tastes in food. My go-to drink is an iced vanilla latte, while my friend’s go-to is an iced caramel macchiato. For food, my friend ordered a simple grilled cheese while I decided to try the roasted chicken caprese panini.

Rating the coffee and food out of 5, I would give the coffee a 4.5 and the food a 3.5. My friend gave the coffee a 5 and the food a 3.

The prices of drinks are similar to the prices at Starbucks, however, the large and diverse food and bakery menu may convince you to stray from your daily Starbucks or Tim Hortons. Overall, Paramo Café has a little something for everyone and it is a unique café that you should check out if you’re looking to try something different.
