Cafe Highlight: District Moto

Have you ever wanted to drive around the city on a Vespa and then cool down with an iced latte? All your summer goals can come true at District Moto’s unique cafe located in downtown Edmonton.

District Moto Cafe

District Moto is a coffee shop for those on the go. They serve delicious lattes and also have a variety of Vespas and wi-bikes to get you where you need to be. They also have a wide range of syrup flavours if you are looking to spice up your latte. Another interesting fact is that they rent out the basement as an event space. The space can be turned into a boardroom, workspace, or even a reception for a small crowd.

The flavour of the day when I went to District Moto was coconut, so I tried a coconut latte. It was absolutely delicious. Granted, I love everything coconut so it was the perfect flavour for me, but it could be something wonderfully new for you guys to try as well. I didn’t eat anything during my visit, but there is a small menu of Italian sandwiches if you happen to walk in on your lunch break.

The other great thing about this local cafe is its proximity to MacEwan University. It is the perfect after-class hangout or study spot. It is quiet and quaint, which is the perfect atmosphere for studying.

If you aren’t in the mood to study, there are plenty of comfy couches for relaxing and catching up with friends. Flip through one of the many books on the windowsill or look at the local art displayed throughout the shop if you find yourself looking for something to do.

Whatever the reason for visiting, District Moto is a unique space with lots to offer to its guests.
