Going to the gym might not always be on option. It can be pricey, or maybe you don’t have the motivation to go to the gym. This is why I love at-home workouts. Youtube has some of the best at-home workouts out there, and they’re easily accessible AND free. What more could you ask for?
I’ve been doing at-home workouts for years now and I’ve found some of the best at-home workouts of all different types on Youtube. There’s something for everyone, whether you want cardio, pilates, dance or barre.
Here are a few of my favourite at-home workouts that are great whether you’re a beginner or advanced.
@Madfit on Youtube
I discovered Madfit on Youtube during the pandemic when one of her song workouts popped up on my recommended page. I quickly became obsessed. Song workouts are great because they are super short and you can do multiple videos without it feeling like your workout is dragging on.
Madfit posts at-home workouts for all levels, of all lengths, and with options for equipment or no equipment. Most of them are apartment-friendly as well. Her workouts range from HIIT workouts to dance and song workouts, like the one below. While some of them are more difficult than others, all of them can be adapted to your own skill level!
@emkfit
Emkfit workouts are, by far, my favourite Youtube workouts. Whenever I’m in a rut or can’t decide on what to do, I turn to emkfit. She has SO many HIIT dance workouts that are so fun they don’t feel like workouts. The music ranges from Disney Channel, Taylor Swift and One Direction to rap, hip hop and theatre. There’s truly a video for every genre of music, and the theme videos feel like a party.
She also has individual song workouts if you want something short that still packs a punch. I love the variety, and I especially love that almost every video starts with a warmup.
@YogawithKassandra
I’ve recently taken an interest in doing yoga in the mornings when I wake up, and my go-to is Yoga with Kassandra videos. Her videos range from five minutes to over an hour, making it easy for you to pick one depending on how much time you have. I commit to a five minute yoga stretch every morning, and longer videos on the weekend.
What’s great about Yoga with Kassandra is that she has videos that focus on certain areas of the body. If your feeling pain or tension in your hip, there’s a video for that. If your back is sore, there’s a video for that. There are also videos for morning and night, as well as different levels.
@CoachKel
I always wanted to be a dancer when I was younger, which is why I love doing barre workouts. Coach Kel posts full body barre workouts on her Youtube channel, which are perfect if you’re looking for something longer than 20 minutes. The movements are so simple, yet difficult and you’ll definitely feel it in your muscles the next day. She has a Taylor Swift Lover workout series, which is one of my go-to full body workouts.
@EleniFit
At-home pilates is one of my favourite workouts to do, and I try to do at least two pilates videos a week. I love Eleni Fit because she has a large variety of home pilates workouts on her Youtube channel. She has cardio, HITT, pilates and yoga videos — all of different lengths! Whether you’ve got five minutes or thirty, there’s a video for you.
@KyraPro
Like kickboxing? You can do it at home! Kyra Pro has a whole bunch of workout videos from dance workouts to walking workouts, but my favourite are her kickboxing workouts. They’re great to do after a stressful day and they’re so fun. It’s also a great way to get a taste of kickboxing before committing to a gym or workout class that you have to pay for.

I hadn’t heard of any of these programmes but they sound great. I’ve been using BodyBoss but it was quite expensive.
I wish I’d found some of these YouTube accounts first.

I am going to check all of these out. I have been looking for a good at-home workout. I like riding my bike, but sometimes it gets boring, plus you know people. LOL

I have a bike too and I love it, but I can’t be on it for extended periods of time! These workouts are great for when you are feeling bored and need to switch up your routine.
