I have been on a cream blush kick lately and, most recently, I’ve been using the ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush.
Cream blushes are so convenient and easy to use. I always set them with powder blush, which maybe defeats the purpose and adds an extra step, but I like using them and I like how it looks. The best part is you can use your fingers to blend cream blush. It’s just so easy.
I typically go for peach or pink blush tones, however, I received the ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush as a sample from Sephora and it’s a mauve-rose shade. I was really excited to try it because I never usually buy these shades for myself. I’ve been wearing it a lot recently and couldn’t wait to share my thoughts on this product.

The Product
The ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush retails for $49 CAD and is a blush, highlighter, and lip tint stick. It comes in 9 natural finish shades and 3 shimmer finish shades.
The creamy formula melts with the warmth of skin for a fresh, foolproof veil of light coverage colour anyone can wear. The twist-up stick makes it easy to apply on the go — just swipe and blend.
The highlighted ingredients are:
- Shea Butter nourishes skin and creates a creamy texture that melts on contact.
- Avocado Oil softens and nourishes skin with antioxidants and fatty acids.
- Orange Peel Wax protects and conditions skin with a breathable feel.
The Review
I was super excited to try the ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush, however, it’s not my favourite. I have it in the shade “At Last,” which is a really pretty rosy-mauve. I like the colour and I think it’s really flattering on fair skin. I also like that you can use the ILIA Multi-Stick as a lip tint. I haven’t used it as a lip tint yet, but I like the concept of multi-use sticks.
Other than the shade and the practicality, there isn’t anything else that I like about this product. It doesn’t apply smoothly and you really have to press it into your skin and drag it for any product to come off. I’ve used other cream blush sticks where the product is smooth and just glides onto the skin. The ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush feels really abrasive and dry. Because of this, it applies patchy and takes more effort than it should to blend.
Once you’ve applied the ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush successfully, it looks really nice. However, it’s not super pigmented, so it’s not longwearing.
I had higher hopes for this product, but it’s not even comparable to other cream blushes I’ve used. It’s also pretty expensive, especially for the quality. This is definitely not a reflection on ILIA as a brand because I’ve tried other ILIA products that I’ve absolutely loved.
PROS: Multi-use, flattering shade range
CONS: Dry, not super pigmented, hard to blend
Would I buy this product again? No, I would spend my money elsewhere.
