Trying out new lip products is one of my favourite hobbies, which is why I was so excited to receive the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump as a gift!
I have a love-hate relationship with lip plumpers, as they either make my lips look great or absolutely atrocious. My friend raved about the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump, so I had high hopes from the get-go.
How does it compare to other lip plumpers? Keep reading to find out!

The Review
My friend bought me the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump for Christmas and I’ve been trying it out ever since. I have it in the High Finish White Peach shade. It’s a light peachy pink colour that appears extremely natural. If you like nude shades then you’d love this colour, however, there are darker colours in the collection, as well. The product also smells heavenly.
The Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump is a plumping product, however, it doesn’t sting as much as other lip plumpers. The plumping effect is also very natural. This is great if you don’t want your lips to look like they’ve been stung by a bee (which is how I look after using other lip plumpers). If you are looking for an extreme plumped look, this might not be the best product for that outcome.
The product is also extremely hydrating. The formula is smooth and the texture is akin to a lip balm. It applies nicely, however, it isn’t long wearing, as it claims to be. I found myself reapplying it often. My main con with the product is that it’s not the best to use when your lips are dry as the product clings to dry, flaky skin.
Honestly, it’s not my favourite lip product and not one I gravitate to on the daily, but I do enjoy using it every once in a while!
PROS: Wide shade range, subtle plump
CONS: Not the best to use on dry lips, not long wearing
Would I buy this product again? Yes, I’d love to try other shades!
