I love changing up my routine every season and that includes trying new products. Summer might be here, but today we’re focusing on my spring favourites!
If I find a product that works for me, chances are I’ll stick to it, however, I love trying new things out because you never know if there’ll be something better for you. I added a few new products to my routine this past season that I’ve been loving and couldn’t wait to share them with you.

Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner
I’ve been using the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner for over a year now and I LOVE it, however, it is on the expensive side. I recently moved out of my parents house into an apartment, so I’m trying to be a bit more frugal and I decided haircare was an area that I could cut back on spending.
The problem is that I have a lot of hair and I go through shampoo and conditioner fast. A coworker recommended the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner because she saw it on TikTok and heard great reviews. I decided to try it as well and I love it!
I’ll admit, I wasn’t convinced at first. During the first wash, my hair felt stringy and I worried that it would be tangled afterwards, but it wasn’t. My hair was soft, hydrated and voluminous. The product also smells incredible.
I highly recommend trying it if you’re looking for a high quality drugstore shampoo.
Tote Bags
I used to be a strict purses-only girl. I had a purse for every situation and outfit possible. It was a collection of sorts, however, it got overwhelming. I had too many to choose from, and I hated switching my wallet and other things between purses because I’d always forget something. I ended up selling most of my purses and just kept the basics and the ones I really love, but lately I haven’t been using them as often.
Last summer, I bought a bunch of tote bags when I was in Greece and I’ve been using them nonstop. I needed a bag big enough to hold my laptop for work, as my previous work bag finally gave up after a few years, and my tote is the perfect size. It fits everything I need for work and more. It doesn’t hurt my shoulder and I think it’s a fun personality piece. I also use tote bags when I’m running errands because it always comes in handy when I’m shopping at stores that don’t give out plastic bags.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love using my purses when I’m going out with friends, but my tote bag has become the ultimate work bag.
Cow Slippers
One thing about me is that I love cows. Why? They’re cute. I also love slippers, so I was pretty excited when I found these Time and Tru Women’s Cow Slippers at Wal-Mart. I almost didn’t buy them but they were only $15 and my friends convinced me to buy them. I’m so glad I did because I wear them all the time, especially when it’s chilly. They’re so soft, warm and comfortable.
Colour Changing Cold Coffee Cups
I used to be obsessed with the seasonal Starbucks colour changing cold cups. They used to sell out immediately, and I once spent a whole hour calling different locations to see if they were in stock.
The thing about the Starbucks colour changing cups is they’re so expensive, especially when you can get the same thing elsewhere. I found this set of 5 colour changing cold cups from Wal-Mart and I love them. They’re great quality and, honestly, nicer than the Starbucks ones. And way cheaper. You need these if you want to make your daily iced coffee 10x cuter.
Smoothie Cubes
Smoothies are one of my go-to things to make for breakfast because they’re easy to make and delicious. Normally, I’d make my own recipe based on whatever frozen fruit I have in the fridge, but the Evive Smoothie Cubes have changed the game.
These frozen bites have everything you need in them, so all you need to add is water and anything else you want. They also come in a variety of different blends. All you do is pop them into your blender with water, juice or milk and any other ingredients you’d like to add. And, in less than 5 minutes, you have a delicious and nutritious smoothie!
These smoothie bites are pricier, however, frozen fruit is generally expensive. So it’s cheaper to buy the pre-made smoothie bites than it would be to buy all the smoothie ingredients on their own.
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo
I’ve tried Batiste and I’ve tried Living Proof, but I had’t found a dry shampoo I loved until I went to Seattle and bought a travel sized Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo at Target. The only reason I bought it was because it was the only one Target had in the travel section, and my friend and I desperately needed it for our short trip.
Turns out, it’s the best dry shampoo I’ve ever tried. The spray is so thin and doesn’t coat your hair like other products do. It’s colourless, blends easily and leaves your hair looking freshly washed. I used it everyday on my three-day trip and my hair didn’t feel gross or dirty at all.
I was so sad when I tried to find it in Canada with no luck, until I happened upon it at Wal-Mart! I was so happy I audibly gasped. You need to try this dry shampoo immediately if you want your hair to look amazing 24/7.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I’ve had the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for years and never really loved it like most people do. I didn’t love how thick or sticky it was, and I hated putting my fingers in the tub. This past winter, my lips were extremely dry and chapped. Nothing would help, so I decided to give the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask another try. It was a gamechanger and made my lips so soft, smooth and hydrated. I’ve been using it exclusively for months now and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I finally understand the hype!
Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb
I recently had a crisis because I fell out of love with my perfume. I’d been using it for over a year and I loved it at one point, but I just got too used to it and fell out of love with the scent. So, I started my hunt to find my signature scent.
I love a floral vanilla scent and just couldn’t find one that I loved. I kept getting recommendations for Flowerbomb, which was my favourite perfume in 2020. I always received so many compliments when I wore it and only stopped using it when I ran out because I wanted to try something new.
I recently bought another bottle of it and it’s my favourite, yet again. The scent is pretty strong, but it’s addicting. It smells like you’ve walked into a magical flower garden and it’s the perfect scent for summer.
Dior Rosy Glow Blush
I’ve seen so many people use the Dior Rosy Glow Blush on TikTok, but what really sold me on it was my coworker. She ordered it during the Sephora Spring Sale and it looked so gorgeous on her that I immediately went home and ordered it too. I ordered it in the shade 001-Pink and it’s the perfect shade. It’s vibrant, buildable and long wearing.
