There is nothing I love more than receiving free samples from Sephora, so I was excited to try the sample of the Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer I got with one of my orders. Moisturizer samples are perfect for travelling or for trying out new products to see if they’re compatible with your skin.
I had just run out of my go-to moisturizer, and decided to see if the samples I had were good for my skin. For reference, I have sensitive dry skin that needs extra hydration. I read reviews that the Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer was good for dry, sensitive skin so I gave it a go.

The Product
The Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer retails for $35 CAD and is a lightweight, alcohol-free moisturizer that helps to replenish, refine, and boost your moisture barrier. It was made with sensitive and blemish-prone skin in mind and targets pores, dryness, and redness.
The highlighted ingredients are:
- Bakuchiol, a potent antioxidant that gently refines the look of texture and pores.
- Ceramide complex, that soothes the skin barrier and locks in moisture.
- Rosehip oil, which helps support the look of healthy, hydrated skin.
The Review
Unfortunately, the Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer wasn’t a good match for me. I’m not sure if the product had gone bad or I received a bad sample, but it smelled weird. It wasn’t fragrant, but the smell was so strong that I ended up throwing the sample away after one use. I’ve read a few Sephora reviews that agree that the smell is bad, however, other people seem to love the moisturizer. It’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re considering trying it.
Other than that, the Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer was extremely hydrating. The consistency is thick and felt soothing on the skin. It also provided a nice layer before my makeup. If it weren’t for the smell, I would have kept using it because I think it would have been a great match for my skin.
Other reviews for the Peace Out Daily Repairing Moisturizer say that it’s great for acne-prone skin, so it might be worth a try if you deal with acne. If you’re thinking of using this product, do your research and try a sample before committing to the full size product.
PROS: Thick and hydrating
CONS: Weird smell
Would I buy this product again? No, because of the unbearable smell.
