Skincare Sunday: Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream

After struggling with my skin over the past few months, I decided to try the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream to see if it would aid my sensitive skin.

I’ve been treating my acne for almost two months now and finding a moisturizer that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin has been difficult. I did some research and the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream seemed to be exactly what I was looking for.

In the beginning of my treatment, my skin was dry and flaking, so I needed a moisturizer that was hydrating and would help repair my skin barrier. I tried a few different sample moisturizers I had, but they either weren’t hydrating enough or irritated my skin even more.

I was confident in ordering the ordered the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream because I use the Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Hydrating Cleanser and I love of how gentle it is. I ordered the moisturizer in the mini size to see how it worked with my skin and I was so happy with it that I ordered the full size.

The Product

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream

The Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream retails for $70 CAD and is a hydrating face cream. It’s formulated with active lipids, peptides, small-particle hyaluronic acid, and rich shea butter that brightens, firms, and plumps.

The Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream repairs the skin barrier and results in dewy, plump and hydrated skin.

It’s compatible with dry, normal and oily skin, and targets fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and loss of firmness and elasticity.

The highlighted ingredients are:

  • Hydrating triple lipid complex, which contains skin-similar lipid fillers that help restore ceramide and fatty acid levels
  • Firming nutripeptide blend, which supports skin barrier health to minimize visible redness and sensitive skin.
  • Plumping seaweed hyaluronate blend, a small-particle hyaluronic acid that helps hydrate for dewy, glass-like skin.

The Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream product is vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free.

The Review

The Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream is perfect if you have dry skin and its thickness makes it especially great for winter. I prefer lightweight moisturizers in the summer, but the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream is exactly what I needed right now.

Since I started using the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream, my skin is no longer as dry or flaking. My redness is minimized and it’s fragrance free, so it doesn’t irritate my skin. I love how thick and hydrating it is, and it provides a nice base for makeup.

The one thing I really love about the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream is the packaging. If you’ve tried the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Firming Moisturizer, you’ll know the packaging is amazing. The moisturizer is in a tub where you press down on the top and a little bit of product comes out the top. You don’t have to stick your fingers in the product and it gives you exactly the amount of product that you need.

I was shocked and excited when I saw that the Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream comes in the same type of packaging. It was an instant winner in my mind from that moment.

PROS: Fragrance free, hydrating, thick, sleek packaging

CONS: Price

Would I buy this product again? Yes, especially if my skin needs an extra boost of hydration.
