I love Tarte’s makeup products, but I’ve never tried Tarte’s skincare line. I received a sample of the Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer, which I ended up taking on a short trip with me and I loved it so much more than I thought I would.

The Product
The Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer retails for $51 CAD and is a daily, vegan gel moisturizer that soothes and refreshes parched skin with electrolyte-packed hydration. It’s good for all skin types and targets dryness, dullness, uneven texture and loss of firmness.
The moisturizer is vegan and hypoallergenic, and quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy finish. The gel cools and quenches skin while hyaluronic acid and electrolyte-balancing sea salts hydrate skin.
The Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer is vegan, dermatologist-tested, and formulated without artificial fragrances.
The Review
I only had a tiny sample of the Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer from Sephora and I used it so quickly. I didn’t know what to expect from this product, but I loved it. I really like gel moisturizers, especially in the summer because they feel lighter and cooler than cream moisturizers. The Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer feels like a splash of cold water on your face. It’s lightweight, hydrating and has a cooling effect.
The Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer absorbs into the skin quickly, leaving it hydrated and glowy which is the perfect base for makeup. Some moisturizers don’t sink in at all and pill, which wasn’t an issue with the Tarte SEA Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer.
The Sephora reviews are mixed, and saying it’s not great for dry skin, however, I have dry skin and didn’t have a problem with it. I think it’s great for summer, but I don’t think it would be hydrating enough for winter. I’d say it’s worth a try, and Sephora sells mini versions of it, as well.
PROS: Hydrating, cooling, hypoallergenic
CONS: Mixed Sephora reviews
Would I buy this product again? It’s a great summer product, so I would buy it again.
