It has almost been one month since Spring arrived and let’s just say, it hasn’t gone the way most of us expected. Even though Spring is being enjoyed a bit differently this year, we can still appreciate Spring style and trends.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been spending a lot of my free time online shopping. There is nothing better than when you wake up to a new package on your doorstep. Check out five outfits I styled for Spring and get inspired to do some online shopping of your own!
Here are my top five favourite Spring style trends. Enjoy!
Pastels

I have always loved pastels and it makes me so happy that they are returning as a trend. Pastels were a huge trend last year and have made a comeback once again. The most popular colours for Spring 2020 are soft purples, blues, and greens.
My favourite thing about pastels is that they can be styled in so many ways. They can be styled with other pastels for a soft look or with brighter colours for a bold look.

This lilac denim jacket from Hollister is one of my favourite pieces I own. Denim jackets are an obsession of mine and I think they can take any outfit to the next level. I typically pair this lilac one with neutral colours like a white shirt and black jeans.
Today, I decided to pair it with this yellow gingham dress from Garage for a fun Spring outfit. I added a butterfly charm necklace from Urban Outfitters to add to the dreamy aesthetic.
Animal prints

I don’t know about you, but I think animal prints are extremely fun and add personality to any wardrobe. Some may shy away from the bold prints, but they look equally good when used minimally.
Belts are great statement pieces and are perfect for experimenting. I tend to grab this leopard print thin belt from Abercrombie when my outfit is feeling a tad plain. If you’re not the type of person who likes bold prints, a thin belt like this one is a great option. It adds a bit of texture without grabbing too much attention.
Shoes are also a great way to have fun with your outfit. The snake print shoe trend has been big for a few months now and continues to be trendy.

I picked up these snakeskin block heeled boots from Call It Spring during a sale and I love them. They are fun, yet still neutral. My favourite way to style them is with ankle cut jeans or rolled-up jeans.
Babydoll dresses
I have to admit I have been obsessed with the babydoll trend since I watched the newest Little Women movie. The trend has been around for a few months, like the animal print trend, and continues to be trendy.
I love babydoll dresses for the warmer months. The light and flowy textures of the dresses are extremely comfortable and great for warm weather. They look especially great with cropped denim jackets, even though they are a bit baggy.
This yellow babydoll dress from American Eagle is the perfect transition dress. Its sleeves and lightweight material make it perfect for Spring and Summer.
American Eagle always has sales up to 60% off their collections, which makes this dress incredibly affordable. However, their styles sell out fast so act quickly when you find the perfect dress for you.
Gingham is also a popular pattern for Spring, which is what makes this pastel pink dress from Urban Outfitters perfect. It, again, has long sleeves which make it perfect for Spring. The sleeves are bell sleeves which makes them even more fun and adds to the shape of the dress.
It is from Urban Outfitters so it is on the pricier side, but they often have sales on dresses. Keep tabs on the clearance section because they are always adding new styles for low prices.
Matching sets
Matching sets are my favourite Spring 2020 fashion trend, by far. The first reason being that they make getting dressed incredibly easy. The second reason is that you will look put together without any effort.
I tend to buy short sets for Summer, but I fell in love with this blue skirt set from Dynamite and had to order it. The colour scheme felt right for Spring and I liked that it can be casual or dressed up.

The other great thing about matching sets is that they can look like one piece. I love that this set looks like a dress even though it’s not. Matching sets make it extremely easy to get dressed in the morning. This is great for when it’s warm out and you don’t want to spend too much time getting ready.
Loungewear
I’m sure this is everybody’s favourite trend right now. There is nothing better to wear than sweatpants when working from home, but after a while, you may feel lazy. Having a selection of cute loungewear pieces will have you feeling like a comfy girl boss when working from home.

I love these army green sweatpants from Abercrombie. They are so soft and stretchy. The best part is that they fit like a legging, but feel like sweatpants. This exact style isn’t available anymore, but they have new similar styles for Spring.
Having a set of nice loungewear clothes is key for when your work from home style starts lacking. We all have a pair of sweatpants we love, but wearing them for a week straight can be too much. Getting dressed into something new in the morning will give you the sense of routine you need to seize the day.
Question: What is your favourite Spring trend?
I love that blue two-piece set from Dynamite. I’ve never heard of the brand before, so I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendations!
Right! It’s so adorable! It’s a Canadian brand, but I believe they have some stores in the US as well.
Hi Katrina, I really enjoyed reading your post.
Definitely I’m a pastel colour lover too.
I find matching set amazing. Sometimes I really have no inspiration and this make life easier.
Very nice blog!
Animal print is my favorite! Goes with everything and can be dressy or casual!
It is so fun! It adds so much to any outfit.
I absolutely love all the dresses that were incorporated into this. Glad to know it’s a Canadian brand and that I can order
Right! They are so cute. Spring style is the best. And yes! They are Canadian and able to order.

They’re really great. Thanks for visiting!
Pastels are what I love about spring! I love wearing pinks, yellows, and whites during this season!
Pastels are the best! They’re so pretty
I love so much the items in this post!
Thank you so much!
Great ideas! I love all the dresses they match with the spring. If I am going to pick for my wife I would pick Babydoll dresses 😉
Animal prints never get old! I am still coping with the pastel trend coz I am somewhat on the edgy style 😁
One thing I learned from fashion never wears lots of animal print at the same time (scarves, top, legging, shoes) and look like the lost Tiger Queen! One animal print is enough.
So true! Minimal is key
I love pastels! I am so happy to see them making their way back into fashion. I’m so excited for spring!
Right, they’re so beautiful.
Love this. I’m never on top of fashion trends but this has given me so much inspiration! Thanks x
You’re welcome! Thanks for reading!
What a lovely article. I can’t wait to be able to go back outside and wear pretty clothes!
Nice Trends
I’m so in love with animal prints
Yes — pastels make sense for this Easter/spring season!
My style falls more into baby doll dresses and pastels. Although I would like to try some animal print but I’m afraid it’s a tad too out of my element.
Start out small with the animal print! Get a belt or even earrings. Accessories are a great way to try something new without it being too much. Even a pair of neutral animal-print shoes would be great!
Those are some lovely spring outfits that every teenagers needs to try. Love pastels and light colors this Spring season.
