Coffee and croissants are a breakfast (or anytime) staple, which is why Chocorrant Patisserie and Cafe is one of my go-to coffee spots. Not only is it close to my work, but there’s never a shortage of delicious artisanal croissants.
Chocorant is located on 124 street, in between local restaurants and stores. It’s the perfect place to stop in between window shopping, a trip to the farmers market, or a walk through the neighbourhood. The cafe also serves a variety of delicious cakes with flavours like chocolate caramel rocher and strawberry moscato.
I have yet to try the cakes, even though they tempt me everytime I visit, but I am a sucker for the cookies and cream croissant. It’s soft, a tad flaky, and full of sweet cream and topped with chocolate cookie sprinkles. I always order an iced vanilla latte to wash it down. The coffee never disappoints and is reasonably priced.
Chocorant also has a small menu of sandwiches, soups, and salads if you’re in the mood for something more hearty. You can’t go wrong with one of Chocorants paninis for lunch.
Chocorant is the place to go if you need your caffeine with a sweet treat on the side.
Chocorrant Patisserie and Cafe is located at 10328 124 St, Edmonton, AB T5N 1R2. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays.
