Happy Skincare Sunday! Today I’m going to be reviewing one of my favourite skincare products — the Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment.
This is the first Sunday Riley product I’ve ever tried, and I’m obsessed. I received the Sunday Riley Good Genes Acid Treatment as a sample from Sephora, and it quickly became a staple in my skincare routine.

The Product
The Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment is an AHA serum with lactic acid, and it retails for $162 CAD. The serum targets the look of pores, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. It also improves the look of wrinkles and fine lines. The serum is compatible with all types of skin.
Sephora highlights four key ingredients in the serum: purified lactic acid, licorice and lemongrass, and prickly pear extract. Lactic acid is incredibly hydrating and exfoliates the skin. Licorice and lemongrass work to brighten dark spots, and the prickly pear extract soothes redness and sensitive skin.
The Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment can be used daily in your morning and nighttime skincare routines, or it can be used a few times a week as a mask for those with sensitive skin.
The Review
I have sensitive skin, so I only use the Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment once a week. Every Sunday, I do an extended nighttime skincare routine where I exfoliate and do masks, which is when I use the treatment. I leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, and then use my FOREO LUNA Mini 3 to massage it into the skin.
The Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment is a great treatment for once a week if you need to feel refreshed. It leaves my skin tingling, which is how I know it’s working. The serum is especially great for getting rid of any blemishes or acne. I’ve found that it significantly reduces the appearance of blemishes after one use, and it makes my skin feel so soft afterwards.
I’ve never used this as a daily skincare treatment, as I only had a small bottle of it, but I love the results I get from using it as a mask. I highly recommend this product if you want to clear up your skin, or want your skin to feel ultra smooth.
PROS: Gets rid of blemishes after one use and leaves the skin super soft.
CON: Expensive
Would I buy it again? I just ran out and I definitely plan on buying it when I restock my skincare.
