Happy Makeup Monday! Brow pencils are a necessity in everyone’s makeup drawer, and there are many great ones to choose from. I’ve always purchased brow pencils from Sephora, but recently decided to try the NYX Precision Brow Pencil and fell in love.

The Product
The NYX Precision Brow Pencil retails for $10 USD and comes in eight shades. The pencil has a flat rectangular tip for outlining your arches and drawing precise hair-like lines. The other end of the pencil has a spoolie brush for blending.
The Review
I’ll admit that I’ve always used the Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil and never thought about switching to another brand. On the other hand, my friend always swears by the NYX Precision Brow Pencil which made me curious about it, and the price drew me in.
When I first used the pencil, I wasn’t sure about the rectangular flat tip because I was so used to arched tips, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flat tip is great for defining the shape of your brow and for filling in sparse spots.
The formula is also creamy yet natural. I still love the Benefit brow pencils, but sometimes I found it took a lot of time to fill in my eyebrow because it took a lot of pressure to get colour payoff. The NYX Precision Brow Pencil is the opposite. It’s easy to overdo it, but once you master how much pressure to use then you can do your eyebrows in no time at all.
I still love the Benefit brow products, but the NYX Precision Brow Pencil is great if you’re on a budget. It’s one of the best drugstore makeup products I’ve used.
PROS: Creamy formula, natural payoff, easy to use, and inexpensive
CONS: Easy to overfill your brows
Would I buy it again? Yes because of the price! Makeup can be so expensive, so it’s nice knowing there are products comparable in quality with a much lower price tag.
