Benefit had a chokehold on me in high school, and I had every bronzer and highlighter imaginable. I still use the Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter now and then, so here’s my review on it and how it compares to other highlighters in my mix.

The Product
The Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter retails for $40 CAD and is a nude-pink radiant finish highlighter. The formula consists of super-fine baked powder that creates a sheer glow. It’s also scented with Benefit’s signature dandy daydream scent with notes of delicate blossom. The Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter comes with a rectangle bristle brush.
The Review
The Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter is a product I used to love, but then didn’t use for years. I’ve recently started using it again which prompted me to do this review! My regular go-to is the Becca Champagne Pop highlighter, but the product is broken in the pan so I’ve resorted to other highlighters in my collection, one being the Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter.
I’m really surprised at how this product has held up over the years. I know makeup goes bad after a while, but the Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter still has its shine. I have fair dry skin, and this is the perfect shade for me.
It’s sheer and radiant with no specks of glitter. It’s also buildable, so you can start off light coverage and keep applying until you get your desired shine, however, you won’t get a blinding finish. It’s still a natural glow even after building it up. I really love the sheer pink tone of the highlighter. It’s perfect for lighter skin tones.
I really like this highlighter, but I don’t love it. It’s good for day-to-day wear, but not for looks where you want a blinding highlight. I also find that it does fade a bit throughout the day. I still prefer the Becca Champagne Pop formula to this one, but I’ll still keep it in my mix.
PROS: Natural, sheer
CONS: Price, average, not long-wearing
Would I buy this product again? Probably not. I love using it for now, but it’s pretty average for the price.
