If you’ve been following makeup trends, then you know the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is constantly selling out. I put my name on Sephora’s waiting list for this product and ordered it as soon as it was in stock, but then it sadly got lost in the mail and was out of stock, again. I jumped at the next chance I got to order it and have been itching to write this review since.

The Product
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter retails for $53 CAD and is available in 12 shades. It is a radiant finish “complexion booster that blurs, smooths, and illuminates for a real-life filter effect.”
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is light coverage and compatible with all skin types. Charlotte Tilbury was inspired by social media filters, so she created this product which can be worn as a tinted primer, under foundation, mixed with foundation or as a highlighter on high points of the face.
The highlighted ingredients are:
- Finely milled powders, which blur lines and pores for a smoother, soft-focus look,
- Porcelain flower extract, a thai flower derivative that visibly brightens and moisturizes skin, and
- Glossy oil, a lightweight moisturizing oil that reflects and adds light where you need it.
The Review
I love that the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter can be used as a primer, foundation or a mixer. Somedays, I’ll wear it on its own and it gives my skin a blurred finish. It’s the perfect no-makeup makeup product. It’s lightweight, glowy and leaves your skin looking airbrushed yet still natural. It has minimal coverage, which is great for evening out the skin tone. Keep in mind, it doesn’t cover acne or spots.
Most of the time, I mix the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter with the Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer. It gives extra coverage and a glowy finish.
I typically apply the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter with a beauty blender, but there was a few days a few months ago where I lost my beauty blender and ended up applying the product with my hands. To my surprise, it blended in flawlessly and easily, and, honestly, looked better than it did if I applied it with a beauty blender.
What I love most about the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is that it’s so versatile. You can apply it with your hands, a beauty blender or brush. It can be used as a primer, foundation or you can apply it on top of foundation. It’s up to you to decide what’s the best use for you. My only con is that it can start looking greasy on the face after a few hours of wear, but a little powder can fix that.
PROS: Many uses, can apply with hands, blurs and even skin
CONS: Starts looking greasy after a few hours
Would I buy this product again? Absolutely.

Can I wear a tinted moisturizer before Hollywood flawless filter?
Katrina says
You can! You can put Hollywood Flawless Filter on before, after or mixed in with your tinted moisturizer or foundation. Or, you can use it on its own as it is tinted.
