Toners are extremely underrated. Some toners make a noticeable difference and others… not so much. The Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner is the latter. I love Belif’s products, especially the aqua bomb hydrating line, but the toner was quite disappointing. Keep reading to see why.

The Product
The Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner retails for $37 CAD and is a lightweight, hydrating toner. It’s compatible with all skin types and targets dry skin, pores, dullness, and uneven texture. The toner is water-based, which is what makes it lightweight.
The highlighted ingredients in the Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner are:
- Honeysuckle, which soothes and calms the skin,
- Baobab, which locks in moisture and prevents water loss, and
- Sodium Hyaluronate, which keeps the skin hydrated.
The Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner is vegan and comes in recyclable packaging.
The Review
Face toners cleanse the skin and provide a layer of protection for your skin before you put on other products. You’d apply toner with a cotton pad after using cleanser. Many people think using a toner is an extra, unnecessary step, which can be true if you’re not using the right toner for your skin.
I received the Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner in a set of other Belif products and this one was disappointing compared to the others. I genuinely loved all the other Belif products I tried, but this one fell short for a few reasons.
I like that it’s water-based because it feels refreshing and cool on the skin. It also feels hydrating, which I love because my skin is on the dry side. However, it feels like I’m applying water to my face and not a skincare product. The toner doesn’t do anything for my skin other than making it feel refreshed. It’s a great toner to use in the summer when it’s hot and the skin needs extra refreshment.
I’ve since used other toners where I’ve noticed a difference in my skin after using them. I don’t think the Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner should be ignored, though. It’s a decent toner if you have dry skin because it does leave your skin feeling hydrated, and the price is fair. It didn’t work for me, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.
PROS: Price, leaves skin feeling hydrated, lightweight
CONS: No noticeable difference in skin
Would I buy it again? I wouldn’t because I’ve found another toner that works better with my skin.
