Happy Skincare Sunday! Today I’m sharing one of my newest favourite products — the Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum. I’ve used a few other redness relief products in the past, but none that have worked as well as this one. I knew from the first use that it was a game changer.
The Product
The Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum is a soothing serum that uses avocado and ceramides to reduce redness. It retails for $56 CAD. The serum is compatible with all skin types and targets dryness, redness, and loss of firmness and elasticity.
The highlighted ingredients are:
– Avocado butter and extract, which soothes and nourishes skin
– Ceramide 5, which visibly reduces redness by supporting skin-barrier health
– Allantoin, which is a soothing, calming ingredient that occurs naturally in our bodies and nature.
The Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum is vegan, cruelty free, and comes in recyclable packing.
The Review
The Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum is a must-have product if you experience facial redness. I’ve always had super red cheeks and it’s still a problem of mine even though it’s become less pigmented throughout the years. It gets especially bad in the winter when the air is dry and cold, which is why I’ve always searched for a product that can tone it down.
The Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum is the first product I’ve used that targets redness where I noticed immediate results. The tricky part is that you need to use it twice daily for optimal results. I was doing this for a handful of months until I started running out, and then I used it daily or every few days. I noticed after making the switch that it wasn’t helping my skin as much, so it’s important to use it twice daily.
This leads into the negative aspect of the Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Redness Relief Serum, which is that it’s expensive and only lasts about four to six months when you’re using it for the recommended amount of time.
PROS: Quick results, soothes and hydrates the skin
CONS: Expensive, only lasts a few months
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. The benefits of the product outweigh the cost. It probably wouldn’t be worth it if redness wasn’t one of my skincare concerns, but I think it’s worth it.
