Spring Favourites

I don’t know about you, but Spring and Summer are my favourite seasons, which is why I’m sharing with you my list of Spring Favourites. Not only is the weather nice, but the trends are always adorable. There’s no better way to kick off the official first day of summer than to share my skincare, beauty, and fashion Spring favourites with you guys! Skin Care

The transition from winter to spring can be tough on your skin, but there are a few trusty products that will save your life from any dryness leftover from winter.

The first product I would recommend to everyone with any type of skin would be the Glossier Milk Jelly cleanser. This is a product I have re-purchased multiple times because it is so amazing. The gel is cooling, which is great for spring and summer, and it also doesn’t foam. I know a lot of people prefer foaming cleansers, but I find them to be too messy, which is why I love this jelly cleanser. It will make your skin feel fresh, clean, and moisturized.

The second product I use in my skincare routine is a 2% salicylic acid solution from The Ordinary. While having acid in the title may sound a bit scary, this product is essentially the same as a toner and will clear your skin up in no time. It isn’t something I use every day, but you can if that is your preference. Personally, I use it at night as a spot treatment if I have any pimples or blemishes popping up!

The next two products that I’ve been loving will keep your skin moisturized without feeling heavy or oily. The Tatcha Water Cream Moisturizer is a product I decided to test out for Spring, and I love it. It is extremely lightweight, dries fast, and makes your foundation stay on longer without caking. It is a bit pricey, but a small amount goes a long way and lasts a long time.

The last skincare item I’ve been loving is the Kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado. Not only does it moisturize the delicate skin around your eyes, but it also makes your concealer apply flawlessly without creasing. Again, it is a bit pricey for the small container, but a little goes a long way and will last you months. 

Make-Up

Every time I get an email from Sephora about new products, my bank account weeps a little. However, I jump with joy at the thought of trying new products!

While I have been an Urban Decay All Nighter fan for a few years now, I decided to branch out and try the raved about Morphe Continuous Setting Mist. It has become my new favourite setting spray and I have already gone through two bottles! It is perfect because the mist is super fine so water droplets don’t spray and dry all over your make-up. It also makes your make-up last all day while giving the skin a slight glow. I recommend anyone who does their make-up on a regular basis to try this setting spray out for yourself to see what a difference it makes.

I am also a dedicated user of Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara, however, it can be a bit heavy for days where I want to keep my face looking natural. The Benefit Roller Lash mascara is the perfect mascara for natural summer make-up looks. It gives the eyelashes lots of volume and length while creating a wispy look. It doesn’t clump like other mascaras with larger wands and it doesn’t transfer under the eye after a couple of hours.

Another Benefit product I recently tried and loved is the Ka-Brow product. I have tried all of Benefit’s brow products before except for this one, and I have to say this one really takes the cake. It is so easy to use, and you can make your brows look natural or dramatic. It is also waterproof which is perfect for Summer as you won’t have to worry about your brows sweating off.  

Style

Florals? For spring? Ground-breaking. But, actually, spring trends are my favourite because of the floral patterns, soft fabrics, and pastel colours! There have been a few trends that I have been absolutely loving this season and I can’t wait to share them with you. For clothing, I’ve been loving everything pastel and gingham.

To accessorize, I’ve been loving the trend of wicker-style purses, such as this round one from H&M. There are many options and various styles out there, but this one was the cheapest that I could find if you are looking on a budget. 

To mix up my hairstyles this Spring, I have been using bow scrunchies and headbands, which are so adorable and make any outfit ten times more stylish. They are also great for when you are having a bad hair day, or don’t want to do your hair. 

Jewelry-wise, I’ve been loving dainty necklaces. You can wear them by themselves or you can layer them for a more unique look.
