Summer Favourites

As much as I love back-to-school and pumpkin spice season, I can’t help but feel sad that Summer is almost over. Today I’m sharing my Summer favourites with you before the summer ends!

August is here and while the days are getting shorter, I am still enjoying every bit of sunshine that I can! The remaining days left of summer are going by so fast, so keep reading to discover the products you need to try before the season ends.

Beauty

During the summer, I like to keep my make-up looking as natural as possible. There’s no point in wearing a full glam look when you’re going to sweat it off anyway, right? All of my summer favourites contribute to that fresh and glowy natural look.

For the face, I have been loving the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. I’ve had this product for about a year now and recently I’ve been wearing it daily. It is extremely lightweight and isn’t too full coverage, yet it still covers and blurs your imperfections. It is the perfect summer foundation.

On top of that, I have been loving the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye full coverage anti-aging waterproof concealer. No matter what concealer I use I always have a bit of creasing after wearing it for a long time. This concealer stays put no matter how long I wear it. It is super full coverage, which I absolutely love, yet it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

I’m a person who believes brows complete the entire look. They frame the entire face, but sometimes, they just take too long to do. The Glossier Boy Brow solves that issue. With this eyebrow gel, all you need to do is brush it on and you’re done. There’s no need for blending or shading. This tool is quick and easy for natural make-up looks or for when you need a touch up on the go. If you are looking to shorten your make-up routine then you should definitely try this product.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I spend too much time in the sun I burn to a crisp. The Coola Face Sport SPF 50 moisturizer with white tea has changed the game for me. It smells amazing and feels so lightweight on the skin. It has a moisturizer texture so it works great underneath make-up and doesn’t make the face look shiny either. The best part about this sunscreen is that it doesn’t feel sticky on the skin, which a lot of sunscreens do.

Style

There is nothing worse than having your hair in your face on a hot sweaty day, but headbands make all the difference. Not only are they extremely cute, but they come in many styles and make any outfit look ten times more put together. This white one pictured is from Old Navy and is only $12!

Another trend I have been loving this summer is denim on denim. I am a denim jacket addict and I have way too many, but they are the perfect add-on to any outfit.

I have been loving this black denim jacket for the end of summer and the start of autumn. It looks great styled with jeans or with a denim skirt as pictured. Wearing two different colours of denim is perfect for you if you are a bit nervous to wear the same colour of denim on denim as it looks like separate pieces. If you are feeling more adventurous, I’d recommend wearing similar or the same colour of denim on denim. It’s a cool and unique way to style an outfit.

Delicate necklaces, like this butterfly one, are the perfect accessory for any outfit. I have been wearing necklaces like this one all summer long because they are so simple, but make a statement to any outfit. Delicate necklaces are the best accessory for those who are forgetful when it comes to accessorizing. They look good with any outfit and you can leave them on from days, unlike statement pieces.

My next favourite is something that I have always wanted to try and finally decided to purchase. Fitbits have always piqued my interest and it wasn’t until I got a summer retail job that I got really curious about how many steps I take per day. I ordered the Fitbit Inspire HR in July and I absolutely love it. I love being able to see my step count at work and being able to track my exercise. My favourite feature, though, would probably be the sleep statistics. It is so interesting to see my different sleep cycles every night. If you have ever been curious and have looked into getting a Fitbit, I highly recommend it.
