I know summer is almost over, but I couldn’t skip the opportunity to tell you about my summer favourites! It feels like summer flew by, but I’m not mad because I love pumpkin spice season almost as much as I love the heat. Lately, I’ve been catching up on books, TV shows and self care, so keep reading to find out my summer favourites!

Beauty
I treated myself to the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm for my birthday and I’m so obsessed with the product. I ordered the shade “Nearly Neutral” and it’s become my everyday lip colour. It’s not sticky and the colour lasts for hours.
I needed a new exfoliator because my skin was starting to get bumpy from travelling and makeup, and I was so impressed with the TULA So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub. It’s gentle, smells faintly like pineapple and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. It’s a must-have product in your skincare routine.
Style
As I transition my style from summer to fall, I’ve been loving bright, jewel tones and statement colours. I’ve never been one to dress plainly, and I’ve really accentuated that this year with bold colours and fun pieces. A basic I’ve been loving is this Cropped Knit Top from Zara. I have it in three colours, and I contemplate buying more every time I step foot in the store. It’s comfy, great quality and so flattering. You can also wear it casually or dress it up for work, and it’s wearable in any season.
The Aerie Rock ‘n’ Ruffle Skort has been a staple in my closet all summer. It’s comfy, looks like a skirt and is effortless. I love pairing it with the Zara Cropped Knit Top. It’s an easy summer outfit that is also cute.
A recent purchase that I did not need, but wanted was the Artizia Vogue Pant in Granita Pink. I love how “in” this pink colour is and the Vogue Pant won my heart. It’s bold, bright and a great fall colour.
TV/ Music/ Books
TV: Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has occupied all my attention this summer. I loved Pretty Little Liars when I was a kid, so I was excited for the reboot, especially considering how well done the Gossip Girl reboot was. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is completely different from the original show, while keeping the same themes. I love the plot and the way they went with it, and I also love how it’s more horror than drama. It seriously gave me nightmares.
Music: I recently saw Morgan Wallen and Harry Styles in concert, so my playlist has been occupied by mostly their music. However, as the weather is changing to fall, I’ve been starting to listen to my It’s Fall, Y’all playlist.
Books: I’m currently reading The Summer I Turned Pretty series. I watched the show earlier this summer and loved it, and I’ve been dying to read the books. My friend bought me them for my birthday this month, so I’ve been powering through them. I finished the first one in two days and am currently half way through the second. So far, I’m loving them.
Other
Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag
I received the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag for Christmas because I wanted it for my Greece trip in the spring, and it’s become my new favourite accessory. I swear I use it more than a purse. It’s extremely handy and fits so many things like your phone, wallet, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc. In Greece, I felt like Mary Poppins when I’d pull all of my stuff out of it.
The Beís Sport Duffle
One of my travel and personal must-haves is the Beís Sport Duffle in Beige (it actually looks like a pink nude). I bought it to use as a gym bag, but I’ve also used it as a carry-on for trips and it’s the perfect size. It fits so much and there’s plenty of pockets.
Kitsch Satin Sleep Set
I asked my parents for the Kitsch Satin Sleep Set for my birthday and it’s been a lifechanger. My hair feels softer after sleeping on the satin pillowcase and my face is less puffy in the morning when I use the sleep mask.
Disposable Cameras
I’ve been using disposable cameras for over a year now, and I love documenting the little moments in life that aren’t as posed as when you take photos with an iPhone. I always set out a few cameras when I have people over, so I can see how the party looked from my guests’ perspectives and I’ve compiled all the photos in an album. I love looking through it and seeing what was captured.
Corkicle Unicorn Magic Tumbler
The weather has cooled off significantly since August hit and I’ve been on a hot coffee kick because of it. I’m obsessed with the Corkicle Magic Unicorn Tumbler in Cotton Candy. The sparkles are so fun and it keeps my coffee hot for hours (not that the coffee ever lasts that long).
Fun Nail Designs
I’ve always loved getting nail designs, but lately I’ve been super into bright and fun nails. It was my birthday this month and I saw Harry Styles in concert, so I wanted a nail design that matched the energy of both. I went with these neon groovy nails and I’m so obsessed with the design. They’re so much fun. If you live in Edmonton, check out The Nailkeeper, located at 10381 112 St. NW.
Tattoos
In Toronto, my friends and I went to get Harry Styles tattoos in honour of seeing his tour the night before. It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. I have major commitment issues, so putting something permanent on my body freaked me out a bit.
At first, I wanted it in a place where I wouldn’t see it everyday, but then I decided to get it on my arm. I got “Golden” written in Harry’s handwriting and I’m so obsessed with it. I’m glad I got it on my arm because I can’t stop looking at it, and I’m already planning my next tattoos.
