One of the best parts of the fall season is getting to experiment with warm-toned eyeshadows. I actually never used to be a huge fan of orange shades until I got the Too Faced Gingerbread eyeshadow palette.
I fell in love with it before I even bought it which is why I was extremely excited
Before I tried the shadows, I swatched them on my arm to get a feel for how pigmented they were. To my surprise, they were all very pigmented, especially the glitters which I find can be a hit or miss with Too Faced. I like my glitters to almost be a foil consistency so that there isn’t much fallout throughout the day and I found that most of all of the glitters in this palette had that perfect texture.
Another plus is that the matte shadows are extremely pigmented. It can be bothersome having to dip into the shadow multiple times to get the full colour, but I found these shadows did not have that problem when swatched.
My immediate
Upon wearing the shadows, these favourites of mine turned out to be beyond amazing. They were even more pigmented than the swatches and I even had too much on my brush at first because I’m so used to shadows not having enough colour to them. They also blend amazingly. I even found that the glitters don’t have much fall-out throughout the day and they stick extremely well to the eyelid, especially with a primer.
The new favourites that I love using are Drizzle It and Gingerbread Glam. These shades look so nice together and they tend to be the shades I gravitate towards to most, as well as the others I mentioned, especially for a more glam look. When I want a natural look, I tend to use the lighter matte colours and Lick the Spoon as a highlighter shade.
Very quickly this palette has become my new favourite and the one I use on the daily. It has a wide variety of shades that can be used for night or day looks and all the shades blend so well together. If you only had this one eyeshadow palette, you’d be set. It retails for $59 CAD at Sephora and is limited edition so grab yours before it’s gone! P.S. it also smells totally amazing.

I love Too Faced Cosmetics because they have a strong niche for making makeup smell so good. The pumpkin one smells incredible, as do the chocolates and peaches. The one I have tried was the pineapple one. They are a wonderful brand and their eyeshadows are fantastic. Great blog post!
